A teaser of an image I'm working on to pay tribute to the latest Predator movie. Thank you Mr. Antal and Mr. Rodriguez for washing away the stink of failure that AvP and AvP Requiem left on the franchise. Gore... I mean.. more to come.

Sorry dude. You are entitled to your dumb, wrong opinion but avp was garbage. No force in heaven or earth can convince me otherwise. Take the two greatest movie monsters of all time and have them face off in their first big screen battle ever, only to stick it in sh**ty Antarctica with a bunch of pathetic actors and lackluster fights. I hope Paul Anderson has a special hell reserved for him for helping ruin two of the greatest movie franchises ever.

Slow. Now comes the time where I gotta render everything. I can check in every week or so with an update but I don't forsee it being done for a while. I like to render lots of detail so it is definitely out of passion for the subject matter, not speed. You think about doing a spinosaur sketch any more?

Yes, I am, in a fight with a T-rex. I'm studying the issue of their bio-mechanics to see if spino could possibly win over rexy and how the real animal could have done it.

I have some thoughts, yes, as to what spino's main weapon would be. In rexy, it's clearly the jaws and teeth, which were awesomely powerful and dangerous. While spino's bite would be deadly, I doubt if it was in the same league as rexy's deatal weaponry. That leaves spino with his arms and meathooks. Both could kick, but rex would have the advantage, since his torso was shorter and he probably had longer legs. Could a spino reach high enough to grab rex in a vulnerable area?

Yes, he could. Even if his arms could not extend very far upward, he was tall enough to grab either the ribcage or neck of his opponent. He'd have to jocky his head to the side, but it should work. From that point, it's step back, while raking the rexy's skin, or puncture his neck, both moves of which would be deadly to the rex.

The rex has his head and mouth. A head or neck bite would likely be fatal to the spino. I can see a spino grabbing a rex around he ribs, then slamming his head into the rex, pushing him away forcefully, while sinking those meathooks he has into the rex's flesh, ripping through the skin, fat, and muscle, right down to the bone in a split second.

The way I see it, either one could win.

Cool! I don't know if I could see a spino using his head like a battering ram to push a t rex away but those arms are definitely formidable weapons that the rex would not have in his arsenal. Both had very heavy tails which they presumably used for balance which I could also see being used as a club to slam an opponent and knock it off balance, not entirely unlike giraffes sparring (but obviously with tails instead of necks). Maybe how some large monitor lizards fight. At any rate it sounds like an interesting idea and a major battle that has been pushed to the forefront of popular opinion after Jurassic Park 3.
